How to upload your data

Please note: we do not support old browsers such as Internet Explorer1.
We recommend you use an up-to-date, modern browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge

Step 1

Log in to the EIDC catalogue.

Step 2

Go to the catalogue record for your data.

You can do this by clicking on the link provided in the confirmation email you received when arranging the deposit.  Alternatively, go to and use SEARCH to find your record.

Step 3

Click on the "Upload data" link in the record.


Step 4

Uploading is easy - simply, drag the file(s) you want to upload from your computer to the upload panel.


Alternatively, you can click the "Add files.." button to browse your computer for files to upload.

Add ALL files including the data and any supporting documents, licences, etc.

Repeat until you have added all the files you wish to add.

Finally, click the Finish button.

  Only click Finish when you have added everything you need to deposit
After you have clicked Finish you won't be able to add any more files
If you inadvertently click Finish and need to change or add files, please contact us and let us know.

When you've finished you will no longer be able to upload new files but you will be able to see a list of the files you have added and download a checksum report. We use these checksums to ensure that the data is not corrupted when it is processed by our servers. More about checksums »
